London, United Kingdom is hosting the Olympic Games 2012.Being the host
of the Olympic Games, there would be a cultural and ethnic show at the
2012 Olympics opening ceremony.The opening Ceremony of each Olympic game
is an ethnic mix of the host nation.The ceremony is characterised by a
parade of all the participating countries and the ignition of the
Olympic Cauldron from the Olympic torch which travels all around the
world just before the Olympics and arrive in the stadium on the destined
day.
So everyone's eyes would be glued to London which whill be holding the
Opening Cermony of the Olympics.The Director Danny Boyle and his team
are engaged for choreographing the entire ceremony and all its
events.But there are some features which every Olympic Opening Ceremony
should have which is as provided in the International Olympics Committee
charter.
This Olympic opening Ceremony has been named the "Isles of Wonder". The World television broadcast of the ceremony will begin sharp at 9 pm. The ceremony begins with the sounding of the bell which is produced by
Whitechapel Foundries which is the largest harmonically tuned bell in
the entire Europe.The entire stadium for the Opening Ceremony will be
being transformed into meadows and pastres with real farm animals.
The Queen of the England, Her Majesty will be greeted at the doors of
the stadium by the President of the committee.Thereafter all the
participants will be viewed in a parade representing their respective
countries.Then the Official declaration of the beginning of theGames
will take place by Her Majesty after the speeches of the Chairperson and
the President of the Games Committee.The Olympics flag is hoisted at a
prominent position in the Stadium which remains hoisted during the
entire duration of the Games.
Participants,Refrees and Judges are made to swear on oath of ethical
conduct during the Games,Olympic Anthem is sung,the Cauldron lighted
with the famous Olympic torch.
Thus it can be concluded that the Opening Ceremony of Olympics is a mix
of traditional practices with cultural extravaganza of the country.
